Auto sensor

I feel like im posting too many threads so im re doing this one and then bumping it.

when on auto The backlight on my pro makes the screen bright when in a bright room and dark when in a dark room. WTF is this so that when its in my pocket it is dark but when i yake it out it turns regular??? plz explain

same way...has to be an even surface though. and it doesnt ignore the call, it silences the ringer.

I guess that's the way it's supposed to be, to optimize battery life. In a dark room, you don't need the screen to be super bright because... well, it's dark. Outside, somewhere bright the screen needs to be much brighter for it to be visible. It makes sense.

light sensor.. it will dim the backlight based on the ambient lighting in the room.

its on the ear speaker. you can disable this though. go to battery settings > backlighting > than un check the "auto"
