Location based profile changer
 

Anyone using a location based profile changer on their HTC TP? That way it'll change my profile to vibrate when I goto school and change it back to normal when I get home

There are apps like commmgrpro which work with GSM phone cell / LAC, but what about those on sprint? I rather it not fire up the GPS to find the location so as not to waste battery.

If you want auto location based profile changing, there isn't really any way around not enabling GPS.

Well, *I* don't mind it firing up GPS. What options are available for Sprint (CDMA) users?

Nothing that I know of, though if something doesn't exist, it could be a really interesting app to write up.

There are apps that I used in the past that do just this:

1) miniGPS - for symbian though
2) DHR commMgrPro works in WM6 (with VGA skin) but is for GSM devices where it pulls the cell location and can base profiles off that.

Surely there is another app people know of that works here for Verizon/Sprint.

PhoneAlarm can do it, but I believe it does it based on GPS location not cell location.

No go with TF3D, but it can detect cell phone towers, just won't change profiles if you have TF3D running.

Yeah, thats the one thing about TF3D that really sux. There is an app on XDA to get around this called "Second Today". Lets you toggle between TF3D and a standard today screen (which allows plugins like PhoneAlarm to work).
