Problem with PicMail App Sending to other Carriers
 
On the phone with sprint right now, using the touch pro and attempting to send pictures through the picmail application to my other phone which is a sprint/nextel powersource phone, the other line never receives the picture however the pic shows up on the picmail website in the sent folder, sent a pic to my gf who is on verizon and she didn't receive it, sent the pic to another sprint phone and it works just fine. Using sMMS application from the touch pro to my nextel line and the pic goes through fine, seems as though the picmail application is only allowing me to send pics to other sprint numbers. Sprint has no idea why this is working this way, can anyone else confirm that they are having problems with recipients from other networks, receiving or not receiving pics sent from the touch pro picmail application. By the way I can receive pictures just fine....

Have you updated the sprint mms application?

Go to powerdeck.sprint.com on your phone and click on check updates.

I had the same issue until I loaded the update.

i did the picmail update from the software updates site, sprint had me change my msid to a wrong number, soft reset, change it back to the right number, soft reset again and now we are testing it so lets see what happens, i also restored my data profile through ##3282# followed by a profile update so i will update when i know if its working.

I'm having the exact same problem. My wife is on AT&T and although my TP says the picmail was sent, and if I check the website, it too says sent, she does not get the picmail. If I use sMMs, it works. hmm

How can you tell if your pic mail was sent? I think I have only seen that message once. Now every time I send a pic mail it stays in the send your message screen. I have left it hanging there for a long time until I finally hit continue on the bottom and nothing was sent. I can receive pic mail no problem and very quicly. Weird.

On the phone, if you go into picmail and select something you have attempted to send then select "Options" and "Message Details" it will tell you if it was sent and when. The same data is available online at sprint.com.

Yea, funny how it will show the picture in there right away but the app on the phone will not give me a confirmation. The line I sent it to did get the picture but not until like 15-20 mins later. It was an AT&T line that I sent it too. I also sent a pic to my wifes sprint line and she still did not receive it. Very unstable. I would be curious to know if you can send video clips as it does say "ad media" and not "ad picture" also, has anyone tried to send a voice clip..?

I've tried to send a voice clip. It doesn't appear to be succesful.

Yea, Same here. I also tried to ad a sound clip and that is also not working. Seems like they have alot of work to do...
