SPB backup problems

SPB backup (2.0.1) seems incredibly slow on my new touch pro- I'm still trying to complete my first backup (so far 1/2 hour)- its not hung up but it is taking forever with "my documents folder" anyone else with this problem?

Re: SPB backup problems

I used ppc pim backup to transfer all my contacts, email, text and everything else, and it took forever...... It never took long on the diamond.

Re: SPB backup problems

SPB Backup seems to be working fine on my TP. Make sure you are running the latest version and also uncheck the option to stop all background services while doing a backup.

Re: SPB backup problems

Hi- I didn't try unchecking that- instead I tried Sprite backup- it was very quick and I actually went as far as to do a full restore which worked well

Re: SPB backup problems

sbp worked fine for me, using the latest version.
Took just a few minutes for 56 megabytes of data and that included making the backup with encryption to the SD card (a bad/low quality/burn SD card can really hurt the speed here) and then from the SD card to the PC via USB.

Re: SPB backup problems

I always uncheck the option to stop all background services and it works fine. In the past, I left that checked and it would hang for a long time as you described since it was waiting for some process to close before continuing.
