Touch Pro problem or sprint service problem?

I just got a Touch Pro with new Sprint service 2 weeks ago and have a issue where 1 in 15 calls in my house goes straight to voicemail. I have never looked at my phone and seen no bars. I always have between 1 and 5 and have not dropped a call in my house. This is the second TP as the first had a screen problem and this has happened with both. I have asked the callers if it rang or if it went straight to vm and they say the phone rang like normal. I called tech support twice and they didnt have an answer. Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking of trying to get a free airave or maybe trying a different radio...

Try to put it in Roam only( you gotta intall the cab) and see whatcha get, your signal may have dropped when those missed calls happened. Yu will only need to do that home...

I will give it a try. Should I try a different radio also?? Is that hard to do?

Re: Touch Pro problem or sprint service problem?

I just called *2 and they told me to change to "sprint only" under settings-phone-services-roaming. has anyone tried this? if I only ever have the EV icon will this do anything?

Re: Touch Pro problem or sprint service problem?

Mike,
Sprint only means that if your Sprint signal drop for a second or two when you are getting a call, then your call is going to voice mail. Start troubleshooting man, did you install the roaming only cab? you need to have that anyway....if you are somewhere where there is no Sprint signal

Re: Touch Pro problem or sprint service problem?

I had this exact problem. When people called my phone it rang on their end, but the pro did nothing and showed no missed calls. Like yours, it would work every once in a while. Tech support was no help, so I returned it and am getting another. Hopefully that fixes it.

That is what I thought about the "sprint only" setting but "they" seemed to think that my caller might be getting dropped (low priority) from a non-sprint tower. ??? I am going to install the roam only cab asap. question: this will kick my data connection down to 1x right? I would really hate to have 1x data at my house just to pick up that one extra call every couple of days....ugg
