You can use "Manila Editor" to view your manila files to determine which file names you are looking for and see exactly what file does what. Here is the link and more information.

To people having trouble with signal icon, try the following:

Go to HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA
Locate SignalStrengthLevel
Change value from 5 to 7

Now the signal icon will stick when you try to install it. This worked for me. Let me know if it works for you!
