Bluetooth handsfree problems
I've been over at XDA and still have not found a solution. It is the strangest thing.
My Touch Pro has this problem with bluetooth. The bluetooth connects to headsets, can transfer files, and can play A2DP, but when I use headset to make a call, there's no sound coming through. So when someone calls me, I can pick up using Bluetooth and no sound comes through. When I make a call, it shows dialing, but again no sound. The bluetooth obviously can transfer sound over from the phone, since A2DP works, but the phone mutes when using bluetooth for phone calls and I can't turn the volume up. I've tried 4 headsets and they all have the same problem so it must be the phone. Someone please shed some light and help me out... |
Re: Bluetooth handsfree problems
There is the options in the bluetooth settings for Hands-Free and Wireless stereo, do you have them both checked?

Re: Bluetooth handsfree problems
Yes both are checked...I've checked every possible setting. I thought it could have been hardware, but if the A2DP works, that means the sound does transfer so I'm thinking it's software. I've also tried other ROM to no avail......maybe I will have to try a cooked rom.
Any other suggestions or possible fixes would really help.....thanks |
Re: Bluetooth handsfree problems
I'm not sure if this could be your problem but my brother has an issue with the ringtones he uses. He explained to me that certain ringtones I sen him he can not use because of their format. He says the ringtone works but when he answers the call using his bluetooth, the bluetooth mutes. He bought a new bluetooth (Jawbone) but still has the problem. It's his phone he says. Try a different ringtone or ringtone format (eg WMA, MP3d,ect).
