Products becoming available for Touch-Pro abroad

Just found this as I was surfing for information on the Touch-Pro. It is a site in the UK that is advertising the video out cable and lists it as in-stock. The price converts to about $77 American (including shipping). I was tempted but it should be available here in the U.S. for quite a bit less when you hack off the steep overseas shipping charges....not to mention we don't even have a confirmed release date yet! Check out the link.

Smooth back on Touch Pro

Also found this pic of the back battery cover for the touch pro.

It is smooth, unlike the back of the Diamond.

Re: Products becoming available for Touch-Pro abroad

I have a question. Does anyone know if I connect the Raphael to say a 7" touchscreen through rca in my car, would it just duplicate the image that is on my phone or would it actually allow me to use the touchscreen feature as well?

For example if I wanted to start up a gps program could I just use the touchscreen to launch it (once connected to my phone of course) or would I actually have to launch the program through my phone and then just be able to watch it through my 7" touchscreen?

Either way this would be a great alternative to the car pc Ive been thinking about building me thinks.

I can't imagine that this could work, because while the phone can output the video to the monitor, the monitor will have no way of communicating the touchscreen commands back to the phone, and the phone would also need software to process this communication.

Whoops......missed that. So I would assume shipping from the U.S. site would be substantially cheaper

Thanks for the correction!

Well, 17 pounds is about $34US. So the unit is cheaper, and the shipping is MUCH cheaper (they were charging 25 pounds for shipping, or $50). So yeah, it is.
