SMS Timestamp is set to current device time when received

after installing the ziggy 2016 fix on the 6.1 final mighty rom, i have noticed that messages no longer retain the original network time they were sent, but what time my device has when it gets them.

For example, if the phone is off/out of service and gets back on the network, all messages i have not received yet will arrive with a timestamp the same as the time i turn on the phone, instead of the time they were actually sent to me, making it difficult to judge how old they are. (sometimes they are disorganized when more than one comes in from the same sender) It seems like the hotfix just rewrites the times rather than rolling the time back 16 years.

Anyone notice this? Is there a way to revert to the accurate network tower time?

Did some more digging and discovered that the device time setting is the intent of the Ziggy workaround.

Long term accurate solution linked below--a torn down OEM hotfix file to for installation on custom roms:

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 11:30 PM.
