Unstable after flashing. Help?

Ok, I've tried this with multiple ROMs including Energy, and teh Stock roms, but it's pretty consistent.
After flashing, the phone works fantastically. After two soft-resets, it hangs at teh 'Touch pro' black-and-white screen.

I heard there can be 'artifacts' left behind in ROM/RAM after reflashing and there's a utility you can run (sorta like DBAN) that will clear EVERYTHING from the ROM and RAM prime for flashing with no problems.

Any clues?

Re: Unstable after flashing. Help?

The attached zip file below contains a custom TouchPro RUU that flashes just the splash screen. The radio is unaffected. I use it every time before I flash a new rom.

1 - First open the file with winrar on your pc, put your phone into bootloader mode and connect it to your pc with a usb cable. (or Activesync the phone)
2 - Now run ROMUpdateUtility.exe. After its done flashing, your phone will reboot to the splash screen and stay there.
3 - Pull the battery from the phone, then replace it, power it on and go into bootloader mode again. Connect to pc via usb cable and flash whatever rom you want.

1 2 3 simple

Re: Unstable after flashing. Help?

Will this version of Task29 work on a Verizon Touch Pro also?

EDIT: Found my answer here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-tp-de...36-task29.html
