TP Screen Blank...
 

Okay so I found my TP today... Charged it up and turned it on. The screen never came on. All buttons light up, keyboard lights up. Even the backlight comes on. When i connect to my laptop I can see all the files on my phone. Never had a custom rom... Wasnt dropped in water, or damaged in any way... Any ideas fellas???? Had it to long to get a replacement. Not my primary phone, but I like the phone. Cant hard reset because I cant see the screen.

You can't hold the volume key+power and hit the reset pin?

Yes I can do that... Lol... I just cant see any messages on the screen.... lol

Well I've heard of people basically wedging things between the screen to get it working again, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Heck, I heard of a guy who fixed his screen problem with a piece of paper...

At any rate, it might just be the ribbon cable. Unless you feel like tearing into it... I'm not sure what you would want anyone to suggest.

No amount of software will save you from hardware failures :p

And the screen remains black even after a soft reset???

Ok so after hard reset screen comes on, blah blah.... but when the backlight cuts off the screen doesnt come back on... if i hard reset and set the backlight to stay on the phone stays on... until the backlight cuts off... WTF????!!!!

after soft reset yes screen still blank... hard reset screen comes on... that is until the backlight cuts off then its back to hard reset to get it on... Im stumped...

How do I know if its the ribbon cable? Willing to open this thing up in order to fix it.

ok so now in confused.... im sitting here looking at the Tp and trying to figure out why it lunchin... i hit the power button to turn the screen off, off it goes... few seconds later i hit the power button and now the screen comes back on... i did change all the settings so that the backlight will only cut the screen off if i hit the power button...
