Screen Turns off!

My alltell htc touch pro's screen will turn off whenever i slide the keypad open or shut. Is this a bad flex cable?

More than likely. Every single time? Have you tried wiggling the screen at all, see if it effects it?

yes..but now my keyboard stopped working so i think it may be that

Uh... yea. I'd say definitely. Get some insurance on that thing if you don't have it already! Just don't go swapping the phone right away if you don't already have insurance on the device.
