Replace HTC SMS with WM SMS

On ROMs with Manila 2.5, is there a way to make Manila open the classic WM SMS app instead of the HTC one when you click on a new message in the Manila messaging tab?

I've searched the forums and haven't found a solution that works.

Thanks. I've actually tried that before, and it didn't work. But I'm thinking I never did step 1 right. I'm back to stock WM 6.1 now but if/when I flash back to EnergyROM I'll give that method a try again.

Is there any chance of posting the reverse for this, I have Energy ROM and there seems to be a mixture of the 2 battling for SMS depending on which button I use.

I'd prefer to just use the HTC SMS app, problem being I think the reg keys that would need to be modified have been removed in the rom in order to enable WM SMS, but only partially.
