Cant tether bluetooth for some reason
 

I have a htc touch pro with sprint service, bottomline is i can tether via usb with ICS or wmwifirouter no problem, however when trying to use bluetooth i get nothing. The phone is detected but no internet connection, is there a setting i'm missing or something

Can you do other things with BT like transfer files or contacts...? I'm wondering if it's a core issue with your BT setup rather than a tether issue.

i dont have any bt data devices but my bluetooth keyboard and bt mouse work fine, this is the first time i'm seeing this issue period with bluetooth

Whoah... I think I just got a little bit more confused... Your bluetooth keyboard and mouse work on your PC right?

What about other bluetooth devices on your TP? Earpiece? Headphones? Speakers?
Do they seem to work ok?

ive never set up any blue tooth devices to my phone, maybe thats an issue, a setting i'm missing. Then again my pc detected the phone

Honestly... I've never set up a bluetooth tehtering scenario either...
However I think arrghhh was trying to determine if your phone's bluetooth functionality was up to par.
I have to leave in 10 mins... But I'm curious why bluetooth tehter and not standard wifi? Wifi works great other than the battery loss... But I take my phone to starbucks or the library... plug it in and connect my netbook via wifi... peple always ask if there's free wifi... I tell them... Yes... For me only though.

i just tested bt devices like keyboard and my pc and the phone detected it, but how the hell can i get tether to work with my pc via bluetooth
