screen problem

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some help here. this is my screen

before touching the screen:

After touching the screen (the screen just dims if you press it lightly, and the harder you press it, the worse it gets):

So I was wondering if this is a problem with the digitizer, the lcd, or both. what do you think?

Re: screen problem

It looks like a video problem. You may have to try a hard reset.

Re: screen problem

I hope you have insurance. It may be a problem with the digitizer.

Re: screen problem

If you're handy, you may find a replacement digitizer on Ebay. I have one, but it's for the Verizon Touch Pro.
I guess you will have to take it some where to get it fixed.

Re: screen problem

I'm not convinced it's the digitizer. Has anyone had a similar problem that was fixed by replacing the digitizer? To me, it looks like it's working. It's just showing the wrong information. I am wondering if it's actually on the board, and the digitizer is working just fine. I guess I'm afraid you may go out and buy a digitizer just to find out it doesn't fix the problem, and be out $50. Although it may be worth the risk.

Have you tried going back to stock ROM? Also, have you had the phone for less than a year? Maybe it's under warranty.

Re: screen problem

It pays to open it, check/reseat all connections and try again.

Re: screen problem

Just take it to a Sprint Retail store with a repair center. I damaged mine (no insurance) and it was $50 for the total repair (they used salvaged parts from a toasted unit)
