Help please
 

My friend is going to give me his htc touch pro 1 from verizon but i have sprint.. i have read into this unlocking a little bit but i figured i would post my own thread because i want to make sure i dont screw myself.. so if anyone can tell me what to do from step 1 would be very grateful.. PLUS i would have a reason to be a part of ppcgeeks :) .. thanks in advance!

sorry, nothing we can help you with here will get a sprint phone on verizon. or vice versa. best bet is a regional carrier, like cricket. i know they have that shit in ks. you can find help for that here, but if youve got sprint, id just see what they got! take em that vzw phone. they have a buyback program. it may put 100 dollars toward a tp2!

I have heard of people taking a non-VZW phone to VZW including myself, but the other way around might run into problems as the VZW phone does not have as much RAM as the other carriers. I personally don't think a VZW phone would run the Sprint Rom tbh.

you dont have to run a carrier specific rom. all you have to do is use the sprint carrier cab that contains the sprint settings. BUT, it doesnt matter because, last i knew, sprint has a "closed" network which meanse they dont accept any other carriers phones.
