New with this phone

I have an htc touch pro just got it and ive been reading how to put themes into it. Now i have diamond tf3d installed and everything when i try to put a path to a .theme file it wont show on the drop menu it has. Also ive also tried .cab files but then the touch flow3d wont loat it says tap here and i tap but nothing it just stays that way. Now i really want a costume theme for this phone, do i need a special firmware or anything?

Are you using Stock ROM? If so make sure any themes, mods you install are for WM 6.1 and stock Manila.

Always turn off Manila before installing any Manila mods.

which rom would you suggest to use? and also are they hard to install.
