A Multitude of Problems for my TP

Here are my symptoms:

1. Physical keyboard does not work
2. Hard buttons below the touchscreen do not work
3. LCD does not turn off when the lock button is hit, it goes black but remains using power
4. Touchflo3d takes 5+ minutes to load after a soft reset

These problems all remained after a hard reset. I figure the keyboard is busted due to the ribbon cable problem I've read about, but for the others I'm clueless.

I bought the phone new off ebay to replace a lost phone, so a warranty claim is not possible. Suggestions?

I checked the cable a couple months ago and tried to reseat it, but it only got worse.
It never got more than a few raindrops on it.
It's the ROM from HTC.

So I just restored to the above ROM again, and now Touchflo3d is not loading at all. Activesync connects but is not actually syncing. My phone is growing less functional by the minute.

I had a TP with the exact problems as yours.

I have a new refub. one now. working flawlessly now.

What to do?

If you have TEP, go into a certified sprint repair center they will replace your phone for free.

Seriously!? I did see the OP

My first TP, the one that did this exact thing to me, was bought off of ebay also!

Now if you want a free replacement and you have TEP do what I said. It's what exactly I did.

If you don't then you're screwed and there is no fixing your phone. No ROM is going to fix it, trust me. I had to flash to a basic, stripped down rom, just to get my phone to boot so I could use it for a month before going into the Sprint store.

you have the classic touch pro hardware failures...i am on my 4th tp in a year, luckily have TEP, got a new phone each time. agree with Mswezey, there is no way to fix this. im not sure if you can purchase TEP on your plan, if so add it and then bring it into the store for a new phone, with those problems they will have no choice but to replace. maybe youll be lucky enough that they have no tps and theyll have to give you tp2
