US Cellular Touch Pro...soft reset instead of sleep mode

US Cellular Touch Pro...The device started rebooting itself whenever it would normally turn the screen off. Does the same when momentarily pressing power button. If you tell it to not power off in power settings, it stays functioning, but is the lcd is on continiously. Doesn't seem like it would be a battery problem. I have tried both a soft and hard reset, and it didn't help. I also reflashed the US Cellular Rom from HTC.

Anyone have this same prob?

I searched around, but most seem to have a continious boot prob and not being able to use their cell.
Mine is functional, but it does what I said above.

Talking Re: US Cellular Touch Pro...soft reset instead of sleep mode

Problem solved on my own.

I called the update number of my provider ( *228 then press SEND ). System said if an update was available it would take 50 seconds...update finished. Hung up... pressed my power button and it went into standby like it was supposed to and it fixed my EVDO connection too .

I don't know why the shipped ROM wouldn't be setup for standby mode.

Hope this helps others.
