Sms lag when I get a lot of stored messages.

Hi all, I've tried the sms lag fixes in this thread:

And I disabled T9 with someone else's cab. While this fixed the keyboard lag (to an extent) I still get a ton of lag after I send a message (sometimes up to a minute it just hangs at the screen with all my texts sorted by contact). It seems to be related to how many messages I have stored as it wasn't a problem at all in the beginning.

I have about 4k messages stored and I'm using a custom rom (forgot which). While deleting all the messages would *fix* the problem, I like having my messages stored in the phone. I never had problems like this on WinMO 6.1 with my Samsung i760.

This also seems to be a Touch Pro specific problem, so I'm wondering if there's been a fix for it yet. I'm honestly thinking of going back to samsung.

even with the TP2 you have lag when you have alot of stored messages. delete some of them

i really dont get why people save them? i get some have important info. but....

force of habit lol, personally, in my circumstances, some people claim to have said one thing and it ends up being another, so its nice to send them a screenshot of what they actually texted.

you need some new cirumstances then LOL... how many times do they need reminding.. show it once to win your fight, then delete...

your a victim of your own habit then.. much like a shut-in/hoarder... you dont wanna get rid of say 3000 of those, then well, your gonna suffer the consequences of it.. the lag... Tmail.exe is a program using program memory and device storeage to hold and load all those.. you get low on either of those and device slows plain and simple...

the only miracle cure is your your fingers deleting some messages unfortunatly

yea I know lol, I don't even bother anymore, I just give everyone the finger and be done with it.
