Re: Manila File Editing.
Sometimes copying and pasting like that it will not overwrite the old files. Also are you turning off manila before trying to copy back. When I edit I only place back the actual files that I edited and I also usually do it to the SD card then move them from there.

Re: Manila File Editing.
x2, you will not be able to replace them if they are in use (cannot copy file, source file is in use).
you will need to turn off manila to replace those files. and as mentioned, your best bet to replace the files is via the sdcard and a program of your choice. my favorite is total commander.

Re: Manila File Editing.
after you have edited the files, place them on the sd card to move over instead of activesync. i have a folder on my card that is called temp that i use to move files in and out of.
total commander shows your changes? i'm not following you on this one. via total commander, tap and hold on the file you want to copy over, select copy to clipboard, goto your windows folder and tap and hold and select paste. it will ask you if you want to overwrite the file, say yes and your set. again make sure manila is turned off. |

Re: Manila File Editing.
i assume your still trying to edit the names of the tabs?
are you sure it's the correct file that you are editing? what rom are you using? |

Re: Manila File Editing.
hmm. well as long as your editing the correct manila file, it should be working for you.
i'm not sure if the size of the file changes after you rename them but you can look at the file size to confirm that it is copying over and replacing the original file (make sure you back it up incase it doesn't work and crashes your phone). also have you done a soft reset? nothing will take effect until you do a soft reset on the phone and manila reloads. order should go like this: turn manila off edit manila file replace original manila file soft reset turn manila on settings should take effect. |
