use usb only to charge

i want to use the computer at work to charge my touch pro, but i dont want it to sync or be a removable disk. is there a way to make it only charge on usb? thanks

It's not exactly what you're asking, but I do the same thing... I just set it to "Mass Storage" but right away I turn the screen off, which turns off mass storage mode and lets it just charge.

that depends on your powmgmt settings.

I belive it to be possible with software/tweak, but havn't had the time personally to figure it out. at the moment I just use a modified usb cord without the data wires connected.

Open Up Active Sync on your PC

File\Connection Settings - Uncheck Allow USB Connections


Now plug in your USB cable, when it prompts you for Active Sync or Mass Storage, select Active Sync.

You phone will not connect, but will be able to charge and operate normally.

Also, active sync on the computer will prompt you on your first time connecting that phone. When it asks if you would like to setup sync just click cancel. It will charge the battery but not sync it.
