Android rom for touch pro
 

Are there any roms that completely erase windows mobile and boot into android.

There are many devices from htc similarly speced to to their android counterparts, with the same processor.

Wouldn't it be possible to flash a android rom.

No, sir. I can't remember the technical details of it, but right now at this stage Winmo is needed for Android to boot. Something about it being a port..

Pretty much. It runs off your SD card using a piece of software called "haret" - this boots Linux/Android in its own space and is NOT an emulator that runs on top of WinMo.

There will be a NAND coming for Android, but it's not deemed ready yet by the devs. I think it's close, but it's not up to me.

The Vogue has ROMs for Android, so I'm sure we're close to a ROM for the RAPH/DIAM/RHOD. There's still a few things not working, and power management was a big one - for me, the newest build almost gets the same overall battery life in WinMo - but not quite. Plus, the battery gauge bounces around like crazy, that is probably another good reason to not build a ROM yet.

So yes, one should come. Just not yet. Follow the main Android thread, I'm sure we'll let you know ;)

Is there a link to the android nand?

I am already using the "haret" method, which is why i am asking if there is a rom.

Android operates so much better on a windows mobile phone than windows mobile could :)

Uhm did you read my post? There isn't a NAND for Android on the TP yet...
