If you can figure out how to get to your text messages, you can use MyPhone to transfer them to the central server, then install MyPhone on your new ROM and set it up to download the saved text messages.

It does not change from serial to usb

The other way is to flash using a microSD card. You will need to copy a file to it so you'll need to do it on a computer or other device since the phone is nonoperational:

1. Take the ROM's RUU_SIGNED.NBH file and rename it to RAPHIMG.NBH.
2. Copy raphimg.nbh to the root directory of the storage card.
3. Put the storage card into your phone.
4. Enter bootloader mode - the same way as before.
5. When it enters the bootloader it will see the above img file and give you instructions to flash it to the phone.
6. When finished, push the reset button to reboot the phone.
