instead of setup, i get Opera window

Have HTC pro with sprint , some cab files when i try to run from with in the phone memory card ,when open the file to install, i see several files in there including setup file , but that set up file has the logo of the opera browser , and if i click the set up , i get a white blank window after few seconds ., how and what i need to do to make the setup file do its work , and install.,
any help please.?

well most caps indeed if not all, the only time i can install a file on my phone is to do it from the pc , set it up from pc and it installs it on phone., indeed i need to say all .cap files would have the set up with opera loggo .

if it installs through your pc it may be like a rar with install files inside but not a .cab they dont function like that...here try this...

1. if your infront of your comp save this file to your desktop
2. tranfer the file to your device via usb (select) disk drive on your device when window pops up after connection.
3. disconnect phone and go to file explorer on your phone...find the file to moved to your phone and click on it.

it should install thats how a cab works.

or easier you could put this url in your phones browser and download it to your phone that way... just trying to show you the difference so we can resolve this issue.

a cap file is a Generic Network Capture Document.

i'm sure on our phones, cap files could be associated with opera. if i'm not mistaken though i think cap files are usually used with wireless capture programs like airodump and such. wireless network hacking.

unless i'm just reading this all wrong and you meant to say cab not cap?

i'm with capsyze on this, it sounds like your trying to install a file but it's not a cab file, something like a zip or a rar file. possibly not even one of those.

if you can post the file in question, we would be able to better assist you.

It seems that its an issue with my pc , something made the .cab files into a read files thats why i cant install them on my phone.
for example the files i downloaded which you have here BG for all.....when i download it on my pc and then using winrar to extract it , i get the file BG for all, in a new folder, if i open that folder this is what i see
1. _Quick~1.000
2. 3A8E04~1.001
3. 7C6090~1.002
4._setup (but in XML document)
so thats why they open up in opera browser.?
how can i make my pc make it or keep it as a set up executable file

lol ok there is your problem.

the cab file is the install file. you can extract the files but they will do you no use outside the cab file.

what you want to do is transfer those cab files to your memory card, in tact. do not extract them.

using file explorer or something similar in windows mobile, locate the cab file and open it. it will install on the phone from there.

ok great how retarded , the file you uploaded installed on my phone , even though have no clue what is that program.
it worked , have no clue why it did , and before it worked even if i extracted them 1st on pc.

lol glad you got it figured out. bg4all just allows the background to be seen no matter what tab you are on in tf3d.

but all cabs will work the same, put them on the phone, open them and they will install. or let you know if they can't install.

alot of the time cab files will be compressed in a zip or rar file. you have to extract those to get the cab, but i think you got it from here.

If it's a .cab file, then upload it to your phone and install it directly.

And the .cab that he uploaded makes it so the background you choose for your home screen shows on all of your tabs instead of just on the home tab.
