Re: HTC Touch Pro hanging on logo
Hold down the volume down key and the power button on top, and push the reset key on the bottom of the phone with your stylus. When the colorful screen comes up, connect the phone to the computer and try flashing the rom again.

Yeah I tried that, it says press vol up to reset to factory, then it does its thing, restarts and just comes up with the logo again. Just sits there....

Re: HTC Touch Pro hanging on logo
Don't do volume up, do volume down. This'll bring you back to the rainbow screen. Flash your stock rom back on, then do a hard reset in the stock rom, then reflash the custom rom after.

Re: HTC Touch Pro hanging on logo
Hey, if I do the reset the rainbow scren pops up for a sec then it comes up with a white background and blue text saying
" This operation will delete all your personal data and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel" If I press VolDown it just restarts the phone and brings up the logo again..... |

Re: HTC Touch Pro hanging on logo
I flashed the latest RootRom yesterday and experienced this same issue. I ended up calling Assurion and getting a new phone (as the current phone is a replacement from them, and they provide a 12 month warranty).
I did flash Twisted_BeginsV3 successfully, but when I flash back to RootRom, my phone goes back to 'hanging'. I did try clearing the memory and flashing back to the Stock Rom and neither seemed to resolve the issue when I went back to the RootRom. Suggestions? |

Re: HTC Touch Pro hanging on logo
To the OP: Are you sure you're flashing a GSM ROM and not a CDMA one? This will make a BIG difference.
@dtuma1980 - You're in Chaska!?! Wild! I grew up in Glencoe and am in MPLS. -As for your situation - I would re-download the RootRom you are running. For OP and dtuma: Here's my recipe for best flashing results: 1. Flash stock ROM 2. Hard Reset 3. Let stock customizations run 4. Flash custom ROM 5. Hard Reset 6. Let custom ROM customizations run 7. Enjoy! If you don't flash back to stock, you may experience sporadic issues that other users of that ROM are not experiencing. This is because some elements and sys files will not be the same pre-flash. By following the above process, you will ensure that you start fresh for every custom flash.

[QUOTE=Rammeh;1555339]
Quote:
1. Power off phone 2. Press and hold the Vol Down button 3. Press and hold the Power button 4. You should appear at a tri-colored screen 5. At the bottom, the word "Serial" should appear 6. Plug it into your PC 7. The PC should recognize the device 8. The word "serial" on the phone screen should change to "USB" 9. Flash away Be sure you have run the appropriate GSM unlocker (assuming you are on T-Mobile as your profile suggests). You will then need a GSM ROM to flash. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro hanging on logo
aaah I was doing the wrong thing!! I have the rainbow screen now.. I'll have a play but I have had several different custom ROMs in it from before but I was under the impression that once I'd done that I could just flash new roms without trouble....?
