activesync after reflashing

hey guys,

everytime i reflash and restore with pim backup i then reconnect my computer with activesync and i end up having duplicate entries in my office outlook as well as duplicate calendar entries. I have tried applying the re-sync using the different methods ie: asking to replace all data, or merge the data yada yada yada. .... sucks because we share our work calendar via plaxo..... sucks too but small business only way i know to share data between 3 comps and 3 pocket pc's..... so anyway to not end up having duplicates... i hate hard resetting when I get back to work monday so I can sync and have no duplicates.

Re: activesync after reflashing

If you are using outlook, pim backup is what is causing your duplication. The first time you sync after a flash, outlook will put all your contacts, appointments, tasks back.

Re: activesync after reflashing

Don't restore your PIM data from the backup. Let ActiveSync do that part for you. Learned this one the hard way myself too

Re: activesync after reflashing

yeah but it gives you the option to combine the items with the items on device or replace items on device. not to mention if i flash on the road i don't have my computer to use activesync.. theres gotta be a way around it.

Yeah, the answer is not to flash on the road. You were told what is causing the problem.
