Failing Tps and TP for my bung...

You know after all these failed TPs and reading the TP2 unlocking thread... It got me thinking about, could it be we been getting replacements and refurbs that were once owned by people on this very same forum?

I am guessing it's highly likely and other than plain old hardware failure. I tend to think it's perhaps these units have been "cooked" on previously, leaving bits and pieces behind that aren't replaced or cleared up when doing hard resets.

One instruction actually says, doing hard resets after burning a new rom leaves some portions behind and the units should be reset using "clear storage".

Seems very viable that even this still may leave undesirable artifacts/settings/half files/half settings behind and depending on the combinations eventually causing us to be left with half assed refurbs.

3 of my exchange refurbs were already unlocked, 2 had different carriers' radios.. Yay!?

Re: Failing Tps and TP for my bung...

I know this is happening because when I was in the Sprint repair center, someone was picking up their replacement and it still had Mighty Rom on it. Neither the original owner nor Sprint took the time to flash it back to stock. They flashed it there and ordered the guy another replacement "Just to be on the safe side".
