Need help! I've searched and read till my eyes are bleeding.
 

My Alltel now Verizon phone just developed an issue yesterday. When I push the power button on the top to turn off the screen; it wont come back on. If you look real hard around the edges you can see it light up a little but nothing else. If you call it, it will ring and you can answer it. I also still hear when a text comes in, but no screen. If I press the reset button it will come on and work just fine until I either press the power or it turns itself off after a minute. As long as I keep it from going to sleep it is fine. I have already hard reset several times and re-flashed about 3 different ROMs many times trying to clear it or something. Any ideas before I buy a new phone?

What I'm afraid of. Looking at an Imagio to trade to. Any comments? Haven't searched much on those.

thats what happened to my tp when i was with alltel. its the wear of the hardwear

As a last resort, I would try the "Flash Dance". Flash back to stock ROM and then to what ever ROM you want. Sometimes this fixed those things that won't go away. If it still does it, yeah hardware issue.
