Energy Rom - Sprint Airave and Picture Mail

Hi, I have two questions about the energy rom i've been wanting to ask...

1) I just got a Sprint Airave and it's been setup properly and working. When I revert back to the stock OS, my bars will max out when I'm next to the device. When using the EnergyROM, it's a bar to two. When i dial *99 on my phone, it tells me im on the Airave for both OS however... wondering if this is just a display issue of the ROM or not?

2) Using the EnergyROM, whenever I recieve a picture mail, it clears out the sender's texts. I see all mine still. Is there a fix for this?
