how can I replace a ROM file?
When I was on WM6.1 I was able to copy wavedev.dll into my windows folder "replacing" the ROM's version, and when I would reboot it would use the new file, but now I'm on WM6.5 and it won't let me or if it does when I reboot the ROM file is back and the one copied is no longer there. I have used Resco Explorer, GSFinder, and Total Commander, same results with all. Is there an app that will allow me to do this, or a registry entry to allow this? Anyone else having this problem?

Sadly there seems to be no one who really knows what is going on low level in the phone and drivers with call recording and finding good info is hard because there is so much conjecture on this as it is. :( |

Find the file you want to replace and rename it like filenamebac.dll then copying your file that you are trying to transfer with the correct name. This should force Windows to use that file. |
