Was Alltel, now verizon, what do I flash?

The tittle of this question is short, but I havent seen the answer yet.

I am an Alltel customer, well I was until dec 15, when verizon changed my voicemail and relocated the local stores (which still are 60 miles away) and put up Verizon signs on them.

My Pro is an Alltel branded phone, it works like crap now. Should I relock it and send it in for repairs? OR SHOULD I be flashing as if I were a Verizon person nowdays?

I mean it seems logical to now flash as if verizon, but I just am not sure yet.

Thanks guys

Re: Was Alltel, now verizon, what do I flash?

icfbiz - I'm in MN, more specifically north metro. I'm still on alltel networks because of where I got my phone plan set up. I dial *228 and I get verizon, I had to manually program my new phone to make it work at all.
I am still on alltel.

Re: Was Alltel, now verizon, what do I flash?

I was AllTell also. When my TreoPro went kaput I got a TouchPro. The TouchPro was Verizion only and they tried to force me over to verizion plans instead of the better AllTell plan I was on. After a whole lot of discussion and going thru several people I got them to put the Verizion TP onto my Alltell Plan/Svc. The only drawback I have seen is the verizion stock apps dont work.. ie - TV,VeriNav etc.. but thats fine with me, there are much better 3rd party soloutions out there for all of these. Other than that.. I havent had any issues whatsoever. Service/Signal is good, EV works as should.
