Htc emergency calls can be made>?
 

Hi,
i just got an htc touch pro from sprint, but when i got it and turned it on there is a message saying i can make emergency phone calls only and tells me to enter a password, any help? thanks!

Thats where you enter in the pin code. New phones shouldn't have a pin code programmed and wouldn't be asking you to enter one.

Dude, make an emergency phone call then, oh isht you can't :dontknow:, you need a passy; here try 0000 or the last 4 of your number.:evil3:

Thanks, but i dont have a number, it aint even activated, i found this phone and am trying to get it activated or at least to work, it just has a keypad for the pass and says emergency calls can be made.

You say that you found it! It's most likely reported lost or stolen and you won't be able to activate it with Sprint. If that's the case. As for the emergency calls only, try a soft reset or even a hard reset and see if that helps any or even reflash a stock ROM.
There are other ways to reset it but they are best left to experts.

On that same screen it usually says the owner name and phone number. Try returning the phone and getting a reward.

Sprint won't activate it so stop wasting time being a theif

where exactly did you "find" it? in someones bag or car? i doubt it was just laying there outside of your front door waiting for you to step out and LO AND BEHOLD! THERE IT WAS!

do the right thing and return it back...

Yeah man, u cant come in here say you got a phone from Sprint ,and then turn around and say you found it. That tells a lot man...do whats right.
