Disable auto-screen rotation permanently - how?!?!?
 

OK, so i have read many many threads about screen rotation disable and nothing is seeming to work, the keyboard on my tp is messed and it always thinks it is sliding open then closed and aking my phone up and draining battery and makes my phone useless because it keeps flipping!

like i said i have read everything, tried registry edits, advanced config, etc
nothing works :(

any ideas how to disable the hardware keyboard or REALLY DISABLE SCREEN ROTATION, PERMANENTLY


any help would be great

If your TouchPro is still under warranty, take it in for exchange.

common, somebody has to know how to really fully disable the keyboard, or screen rotating on its opening..... common now,,, anybody?

I tried for 2 months to figure it out and get answers. I eventually coughed up the $120 for a exchange and bought insurance.

so i took it apart, couldnt find any magnets or switches that would identify open or closed, however there was a small slider door where the ribbon cable was woven through. so i kept that slider to the side by itself (as to be closed) and went around it with the cable, not through it, and sure as gravy is good on turkey, she stayed portrait :D:occasion5:

just for good measure i glued it closed so it can never slide open again ;)
its my gfs phone and she would definitly open it again for some reason, even know the keyboard hasnt worked in months.:violent1:

Thanks alot for this fix i'm going to try it today i've taken my tp apart many times looking for the magnet or switch i'm impressed more people aren't looking for this.
