GPS on HTC Touch Pro (CDMA)

Build in GPS reciver doesn't see any satellites and has no fix ..
I have used a lot of soft (HTC GPStool, GPSGate ..Google maps.. etc - no results

This log data seems empty..
When device was used in USA (now I use it in Easten Europe) is worked correctly.

Stock ROM?

Start->Settings->Phone->Services->Location Settings->Get Settings->ON->ok

This will unlock your GPS radio for use with third party softwares. Otherwise Google and gang will never work, because they cannot access it.

Is there any file which has information about satellities?
QuickGPS is installed, and in registry "region=US"

And gps reciver has data only with "US" satellities?
and when I try to use it in Europe it has wrong data?

YES !!! THAT WAS RIGHT IDEA !!

Just delete it ! and it works!

I am using many GPS applications overseas without any tweak whatsoever. I get a lock within seconds.

HTC PRO
Sprint stock ROM.
Com4
baud 4800

No internet connection.

When I am near wifi either home or hot spots I do update the QuickGps that is built in,however I have used GPS without update after the 7 days expiration....

Anyone knows where to get QuickGPS with world wide settings? or it works only in USA?

I have the exact same problem with my GPS. I am currently running EnergyRom Dec 21, 09 Build 28011. I have researched and tried all the know solutions such as GPSOne configurations setting, HTC GPSTool, GoogleMaps, Location Setting is On,, configuration is Baudrate 4800 Com4, ChartCross GPS Tool, QuickGPS, PPST file and registry hacks. Nothing seems to work consistently for me. I have been playing with this for about a month now and had GPS Lock of 5 satellites twice in that time frame. I live in major city but i am careful to be outdoors and away from building and overhanging trees during testing. In a recent test i drove 125 miles in open country on a clear sunny day (I-!0) and got a GPS lock Once for ten seconds. The GPS Chart Tool was registering the GPS UNIT in Start up mode the entire time expect for ten second window on the last test (I-10 trip).

I have had this same problem with just about every rom i have tried.

could be a defective gps unit in there...try doing a warranty swap
