Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

Sense not working to well on SD Andriod, I use Beautiful Widgets 2.999 for sence like clock and weather.
If you want to try HTC Sence out look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=641021

Getting Internet traffic through those settings is still hit or miss. If it does not work, you may want to read through this post in the Cricket section of Howard Forums:

hXXp://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1643218-Motorola-Droid-Full-Solution-Updated

The last section of the first post gives you an idea of how to load u2nl and autostart into your system in order to tunnel traffic through Cricket's proxy.
i tried those settings now there is no apn it disappeared, i think it has to do with the mnc change???

Create a new APN...? If you don't have any APN's, you'll need to add one if you want to use the cell phone's radio to connect to the internet. If you want to stick to wifi, don't sweat the APN stuff.

You cant change the mnc or the mcc or the apn will disappear. If you need specific settings there and have them there is a thread on xda where they are listing specific apns to add to the list.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

Just installed this onto my phone and here is my feedback.

I enjoy Android.. even as a port/hack its snappy and quick and nice to use.

On the flip side of it being a port/hack there are a lot of annoyances that I hope they iron out.

1) Phone heats up tremendously compared to using Windows Mobile
2) Battery life is abysmal and the battery meter doesn't work (I know work in progress)
3) Screen fades out slightly and can't figure out a way to get it go brighter.
4) You need to flip the phone QUICK to go from landscape to portrait again.
5) Contact list in android is confusing.
