WMC syncing with HTC Touch Pro issues? Help!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I recently backed up my contacts and files using Windows Mobile Center 6.1 (OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Phone: Sprint HTC Touch Pro). I then updated my phone to the latest ROM (Version: 2.01.651.6) currently available at the HTC's website. During setup, I am no longer able to "check" or sync anything except my mobile favorites and Files.

Is there a compatibility issue with the latest ROM and Windows 7 Mobile Center preventing me from syncing? If so, where would I be able to download prior ROM versions (Non 3rd party ROMs)? Or what am I doing wrong? Sorry, mobile tech nooby here.

Edit: When installing any 3rd party ROMs, the install fails due to no connectivity via USB. But still connects via WMC.

I appreciate any help or advice.
