Re: Radio feature/flashing..

no and no.

you can flash any of the radios to your device, easy way is putting the radio .nbh file on a fat32 formatted sd/sdhc card and naming (or make sure it is named) RAPHIMG and putting device in bootloader, and it will flash for you. it is not a hard reset and wont wipe your phone clean of things on it like a rom does.

your prl determans what carrier you have to carry your coverage. it also determans how it pings off the cell towers. the radio change effects how strong of a signal you have on your device pinging off towers. the more poweerfull the radio is that lets you get evdo service compaired to weeker ones has a trade. stronger radio consumes more power and will suck your battery dry. you have to try each radio for a few days and track usage, and quality compaired to battery consumption for your area and how you use your device. no one here can tell you which is best, as no one has your habbits. there is a discussin thread on the radios and how they work for others if you would like to search it.

Re: Radio feature/flashing..

my bad. the fm radio on the gsm touch pro (fuze) is part of software and doesn't get flashed onto device.

Re: Radio feature/flashing..

The FM radio functionality does not rely on internet connectivity. It pulls the stations OTA just like any other FM radio does. The antenna is your headphone set (or speakers), that you have plugged in to the device via adapter.
