Alltel MMS on WM 6.5

1 Attachment(s)
Has anyone gotten MMS (picture/video) messages to work in WM 6.5 using the Energy ROM (Alltel)? My messages either stay in my Outbox or I am prompted with a message (Delivery failed or Message Receipt failed).

I have tried the following MMS settings:

Server Name: Alltel MMSC
Gateway: mms.alltel.com (also tried mms.alltel.net)
Port: 8080
Server Address: http://mms.alltel.com/servlets/mms (also tried http://mms.alltel.net/servlets/mms)
Connect via: Alltel Wireless (Also tried Internet, WAP, Network, etc)
Send Limit: 950k

Here is a list of other things that I have tried so far:
Installed the latest Alltel DCD 20090831.
Tried registry settings from the attached txt file.
ArcSoft_5.0.71.33Alltel.cab
LennySh_ArcSoft_5.0.71.33R3_Alltel.cab

Re: Alltel MMS on WM 6.5

So I think I found out why the messages are not being delivered. It must have something to do when sending messages while the security of the phone is unlocked. I tested this by reloading WM 6.1 and sending a message while the security was still unlocked. I got the same delivery error message. But after re-locking the phone I was able to send MMS messages with no problem.

So my question is. Is there any workaround for sending MMS messages while the phone security is unlocked?

Re: Alltel MMS on WM 6.5

Here is what I do after a fresh install of Energy.

1. Remove PictureMail & Arcsoft.cab
2. Soft Reset
3. dcd Alltel Carrier 20081031.cab (use this carrier cab, not the newer ones)
4. Soft Reset
5. Arcsoft Alltel MMS 5.0.69.44.cab
6. Soft Reset
7. Send and receive MMS.

All of the files can be found attached to the Energy ROM thread.

You're mostly right, try mms.alltel.com, port 80, instead of 8080, and mms.alltel.com/servlets/mms, that's all I need to do to get MMS working on alltel.

How do you remove PictureMail & Arcsoft.cab from the fresh install, its not in the Remove programs?

You have to download and install a cab called "Remove PictureMail & Arcsoft.cab". It can be found attached to the Energy ROM thread.
