Re: Going Data Free
My son had a phone on my plan and he wasn't supposed to be using data... He did. 500.00 later... I called Sprint and explained... They worked with me and wrote off a large chunk plus gave me some credits on my account.
What they did to resolve the issue was block his IP address. This might work for you. Not sure if it would interfere with your WiFi. p. |

Re: Going Data Free
Thanks for the replies guys.
Does picture messaging still work with that? I understand that they require data to work. Quote:

Re: Going Data Free
You may have difficulty dropping your data plan. Many of the providers will not allow you to drop data if you have a data capable phone. Reason is because of big bills as mentioned before.
Good luck with it!

Re: Going Data Free
I've heard that as well about Verizon specifically. I sure hope it's not the case with Alltel. If so, I still have my old phone and will just use it instead, kinda miss the little bugger anyways.

Re: Going Data Free
You said alltel right?
If you go into the store to make this change, have them hook up your old phone. When you get home, call 1800alltel1 and have them switch it back to your touch pro, problem solved. Thats how I have mine set up. no expensive data plan. Jon |
