Bluetooth Audio Receiver

I have seen some previous posts on the subject but not a good response.

Recently bought a BlueBridge http://www.buy.com/prod/miccus-blubr...212515646.html and would rather use my Touch Pro to receive the audio than spend the extra $$$ to purchase a bluetooth headset.

I have tried to pair the two without success. Hoping that there is a special program I can use or perhaps modify a registry setting.

Otherwise has anyone had any success on the bluetooth headsets on dealextreme?

Thanks.

What is your music source and what are you trying to do?

Re: Bluetooth Audio Receiver

Hey Jester... That would be nice... It's not going to happen with a TP or even my TP2 out of the box... It would be nice though since my TP2 has the built in headphone jack already. I don't see why someone can't create a cab that does this though. I don't have the ability to do so... but I will keep an eye on this thread in case someone else does.
I currently have a bluetooth transmitter similar to the one you have and I use my old Moto S9 headphones... They still work great but I got the S9HD for my daily use.
That may be a good workaround for you. You may also want to try using a standard bluetooth earpiece... It might work. I haven't tried it but I think I will.
Good luck bro.

Re: Bluetooth Audio Receiver

I think the trick is going to be whether or not the TP can be set to RECEIVE audio. From my understanding, the A2DP, HSP and HFP Bluetooth profiles operate in two different modes. For lack of a better term, we'll just call them Client and Server mode. The TP and the BlueBridge are both trying to act as the Server, or transmitter, while something like a Bluetooth headset or headphones act as the Client, or receiver. The Bluetooth radio in the TP itself is a transceiver, being able transmit or receive. The problem is convincing the A2DP profile to work in Client mode to receive audio, instead of trying to transmit.

Re: Bluetooth Audio Receiver

Yeah... I think software might be able to do this but I am not intelligent or sophisticated enough to know how to even begin...
But I did get the idea over to this guy...

Maybe he'll get it done or confirm that it can't.
I thought it might be worth a try.
