Why is the default signal level icon in the taskbar pixelated?

Hi all,

I've noticed that the phone signal icon of my Touch Pro's taskbar is pixelated when compared to the other icons. It looks as though a lower quality icon is actually being used, especially in comparison to the other icons.

Is there a reason for this, and a way to fix it, other than installing a custom toolbar? I've searched and searched, and can't find any mention of this being a problem, although almost every screenshot that shows the signal icon illustrates the problem.
