Hey question guys - Will Sprint do other exchanges other than Touch Pro???
 

My friend has a blackberry and wants to switch to the palm pre. is this possible or is the TP the only phone allowing exchange?

Best thing he can do is ask nice the next time he has a phone issue.

It's possible, but not likely. If you push for a Touch Pro 2 the next time you go in, they might crack on a Palm Pre. Just like elmerfudpucker said, be nice. They have no incentive to help you out if you don't.

Sprint will allow him to switch to whatever he wants... as long as he pays for it :D... the TP->TP2 swap is the only one that's happening under TEP/Warranty. If your friend wants to switch from a BB to a Pre, he'll likely have to pay. If he's had his BB for 2 years, he's most likely eligible for the upgrade discount. If not he'll have to pay full price.

Edit: Just remembered one other possibility. Supposedly, if you've had multiple exchanges of the same type of phone within a certain number of months (and I've heard varying figures, like 3 exchanges in 3 months, 3 in 6 months and a few others), they're supposed to offer a different, but comparable, phone at that point as well under TEP.

i mean its a BB, not even on the same level as a TP.. so hed never even be able to have bargining power u do with a TP.. BB to TP2, not gonna happen ever.. those 2 def arent comparable models... BB for a PRE, doesnt hurt to ask, but like stated above prob cost a few bucks.. Phones Sprint lables as flagship devices, like the PRe they seem to pucker their A** pretty tight for some reason when in fact their cheaper devices usually.. but you cant succeed if u dont try.. but there is the WEL list, so its upto that to tell them what his BB is exchangeable for
