Cant Hard Reset Here...on NRG 28011

Hi all, everything was working great on NRG 28011 rom then I had to soft reset my phone...well...now my phone wont leave the Touch Pro boot screen with the red writing on the bottom. I have hard reset many times but this time it just wont hard reset...only soft resets itsself. Any advise here. Im stuck and stumped on this.

Re: Cant Hard Reset Here...on NRG 28011

I would re-flash. Last week, I soft reset my phone and it had got stuck on the black screen also. I kept reseting my phone and it would still get stuck so I just re-flashed. Haven't had that problem since.

Hard Reset: Stylus hole, VolDn, Center button. Hold for 3-5 sec

Boot loader mode: Stylus hole, VolDn. Hold for 3-5 sec

You can flash a ROM in boot loader mode. You do not need to actually sucessfully boot your phone to do it. Just get into bootloader mode.

thanks for the reply guys...wont go into boot loader mode when holding the stylus hole, volDn at the same time for 3-5 seconds, still goes to soft reset and the touch pro boot screen with the red writing on the bottom.

Re: Cant Hard Reset Here...on NRG 28011

Hard reset the easy way. Start - Settings - System - Wipe Device.

It's the same as "Clear Storage". Code is 1234.

BAM! HARD RESET!

EDIT: DOH! I really need to read more closely, could probably use some sleep too. You're never gonna get to the settings screens with it stuck on the Touch Pro boot screen! When things like this have happened to me, I've flashed the Sprint MR2 stock rom, let customization run, hard reset, let customization run, then flash NRG, let customization run, then hard reset 1 last time.

That "flashdance" always seems to work when needing to get rid of the weird flash-glitchys.

So:
Flash stock - let customizations run.
Hard reset - let customizations run.
Flash NRG - let customizations run.
Hard reset - let customizations run.

Re: Cant Hard Reset Here...on NRG 28011

I was having a problem of late with the Phoenix Roms on a Sprint TP (but don't think the ROM is suspect. Maybe just me being lazy by not flashing to STOCK before trying a new custom ROM ?)

I also had problems getting a Hard Reset - and it would take multiple attempts. I usually had to remove the battery for 20 seconds at a clip and retry. It got scary for a moment!
It just seems that once I use PIM to restore my messages/sms/appointments - and have my email accounts back in, something would cause that same boot up issue.

While the 'clear storage' 1234 solution works, it isn't possible when you're stuck at the HTC book screen, since we can't make it INTO the OS to get to that point.

Yeah, that's why I made the edit on my post. I realized I missed that part of the original post.
