EVDO Roaming Problem
 

I have a US Cellular Touch Pro, and I moved to a roaming area. I'm roaming on Verizon. I'm certain Verizon has EVDO in my area, but my phone will only use 1X. Is there any way to make it use EVDO (aside from forcing it in the "mode of operation" setting, which works but is of course pointless since it can't receive calls and texts)? I've already tried the *228 PRL update. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, it mostly has to do with the roaming agreements between Verizon and other carriers. If Verizon doesn't allow EVDO traffic to US Cellular customers, then there's not likely going to be a way for you to get EVDO, since your phone is unable to authenticate on Verizon's network.
