Re: anyone try this car mount for the tp2?
Ordered it yesterday (along with an AV cable and 2 spare 2000mAH poly batteries). Didn't check to see if there is any interference issues with the mini-USB port (Verizon/CDMA version with 3.5mm headphone jack and offset USB connector). Any problems when running with power connected (GPS mode for long trips)?
There will be no problem with strain on the device from a coiled cord as I will be using a straight cord running through the A-pillar to the electrical system using a voltage regulator.

Re: anyone try this car mount for the tp2?
In my opinion, the TP2 is too heavy for a window mount. I prefer a mount that attaches to the vents. Look for one of those.

That's another reason not to use the window mounts. Around here, the thieves look for those tell-tale circles as evidence that there might be a GPS or other gadget inside.
