NEED HELP WITH iGuidance 4 TTS!
 

I have loaded iGuidance 4 and it works with the exception of the TTS. It will not speak the street names but does work for the directions. It did this on the stock Verizon 6.1 rom, MightyRom, and Calkulin's kitchen, but did work on NRG. I can't use NRG because of other issues (BT) but does any know how to fix or make it work?

Give this a try ...

Found this registry hack on GPSPassion for iGuidance 4 and it still works on the new version (at least on my x51v):
* Open your register editor
* Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\iNav\iGuidance
* Right-click on empty space in the right pane, and then select New > DWORD
* Name it TTS
* Set the value to 0 to hear direction prompts consisting of only WAV
* Set the value to 1 to hear direction prompts consisting of WAV & TTS
* Set the value to 2 to hear direction prompts consisting of only TTS
0 = voice prompts as in older iGuidance versions (no street names)
1 = default voice prompts of iGuidance 4
2 = TTS (text-to-speech) used for the whole voice prompt (not just for street names)
* * * Restart iGuidance for changes to take place * * *

Darn, I've been reading iGO forums so long trying to get it to work I replied about the wrong program (never used iGuidance).

Tried that already and no change. It sounds like it tries to say the street name but then there is a slight click then nothing. It almost sounds like it tries then gets clipped.

No problem but it sounds like the same problem. I am using a custom rom (Calkulin kitchen) that has minimal stuff installed and no Manila. I have 121Mb. of ram to work with and it still wont work in a frech boot with no other programs loaded.
