Cannot open Individual E-Mail Messages

Hello,

I recently came across a problem on my Touch Pro 2. I cannot seem to open Individual E-Mail messages so that I may view the contents of such message. I am able to list my e-mails in Both Manila and the Messaging App (The app that shows up if I click "view Inbox" from manila). But I cannot open any messages to read them from either place. Manila DOES show the message preview when available though. I don't get any errors or anything when I try to open a message, just nothing happens. SMS still works fine. I also cannot reply to an e-mail either.

I've deleted the inbox.mst file, and the other messages storaged, and let WM recreate them, but the problem still exists. I have my message storage on my sdcard right now, so the next move is going to be to move it back to the device itself to see if that helps, but this problem started long after I had moved it to the SDCard.

Does anyone have any idea's as to what could be wrong?

Re: Cannot open Individual E-Mail Messages

I used sktools to move the messaging files back to the device, and then I deleted all the email accounts, and recreated one of them.

I am still not able to open any messages downloaded on these accounts. However I am able to open the "Welcome to Windows Mobile" e-mail message that is put in the inbox when you first setup the account... Short from a hard reset, is there anything else I can do?

Re: Cannot open Individual E-Mail Messages

I tried that above link, and it didn't seem to work. I have traced the problem back to it's source though, and found out that this problem may strongly have to do with the fact that I had used a cab file (located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=468953&page=2 - Post 16) to replace my original stock rom htmlnote.dll with another one to fix an unreal sms bug. This however damaged my ability to open e-mails on my device.

I have attempted everything I can think of to delete this modified htmlnote.dll file from my windows directory, including renaming, deleteing, removing the system and read only properties from the file with totalcommander, and I have tried resco to do all of the above too. I cannot delete this file.

I figured if I am able to delete it, when I soft reset, the rom's version of htmlnote.dll will be used. But again, I cannot seem to delete this file.

Anyone have any suggestions?
