Windows Live & Tethering

I upgraded to a Sprint Touch Pro 2 over the weekend from a Sprint Touch Pro. On the Touch Pro, I have been using Windows Live to keep my hotmail email synced with my Touch Pro having the email synced 'as the item arrives'. I have a PAM plan and have never had an issue with the Touch Pro. When I upgraded to the Touch Pro 2, I started having problems either connecting (waiting for network message) or a dropped connection every couple of minutes. I discovered with Windows Live set to sync mail as the item arrives, I would either not connect or get dropped connections while tethering. While tethered, if I update the weather or stock data, my tethered connection will drop. I didn't experience this with the Touch Pro, I had Windows Live configured to sync mail as the item arrived. I have upgraded to the latest Windows Live with the same issues. Have I missed a setting which prevents Windows Live from syncing while I'm tethered? I can set Windows Live to manually sync and my tethered connection will stay connected all day long. Is there something else I can try, not too sure what the difference is between the two phones?

As an update to the first post, I've installed wmwifirouter and don't experience the dropped connections while using wmwifirouter. With wmwifirouter, if I try to update the weather, stocks or email, I receive a message stating the connection isn't available. It would seem while tethered via USB, other applications take priority over the connection. While using wmwifirouter, it will take the priority over the connection and not be disconnected. Is there a setting I can change so while tethered via USB weather, stock and email updates don't disconnect my connection?
