Re: In call volume too loud...

Glad I'm not alone. The Touch Pro 1 had the perfect volume level for me (everyone thought it was too low so they had all these hacks), but now the Touch Pro 2 will make me death.

So are you saying it's only on a wired headset in a call?

Might help if you post what ROM you are using too.
I'm totally new to this, and I'm not a techie, so I hope I get your question right.

In my case, bluetooth headset seemed to be at normal volume (no complaints). But with the wired headset, phone conversations are uncomfortably loud. I'm using an almost stock Sprint Win 6.1. Haven't really done much to it aside from the usual newbie stuff. I've never even heard of a ".csv" file, so I have no idea what to do with it or where to start!

Re: In call volume too loud...

Just curious if anyone has found a solution for this yet.

My wired headset is SO LOUD, it will make me deaf soon.

But playing my mp3s through my car stereo, it's quite normal and not too loud at all. Matter of fact, I use the audio boost.

It would be great to find a way to lower the headset volume when answering a call.

Supposedly, the fix is in this thread that I posted here.

However, not sure how to process the fix.

I followed the directions that you linked to on that page, and I've gotten no result. I tried adjusting:

PHONE_BTHEADSET
PHONE_HANDSFREE_VOL (Zero through 5)
PHONE_CARKIT

And reducing both the CodecRXG and rxVolume variables. No change in the volume of my bluetooth headset. I tried editing the AudioPara3, AudioPara3_Rhodium#W, AudioPara3_Rhodium#W_UMTS and AudioPara3_UMTS... all to no luck.

As an experiment, I tried reducing the earcup volume in AudioPara3... that works. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to reduce the volume of the headset. Seems to be hopeless. Jeez, why is this so hard? I'm going to go deaf speaking on my phone with Bluetooth (I've got an RF-MAB2).

Re: In call volume too loud...

I had the same problem as everyone, but found two headsets that work amazing! The MOTO S9 stereo bluetooth is great, as are the sets I've have from Zagg.

I have a blaringly loud pair of headphones that are only too loud in CALLS. I've adjusted PHONE_HEADSET_VOL and changed the twelve values for codecRxGain and rxVolume. I halved them, then quartered them all. No change.

I only edited audiopara3.csv. I think it's funny that you editted all of those. Which one is supposed to be the effective one to edit?

This is SO STUPID. Anyone with a solution??

Re: In call volume too loud...

I didn't find any tweak but I found this and works great; I can adjust the volume for any application, use voice commands and control the HTC media player.
